COMMITTEE
Our committee is responsible for organising everything that goes on in UoC Snow and it's their role to coordinate all of the UoC Snow trips. If you have any questions, queries or ideas, they are the people who you can turn to. All committee members have individual roles, but they all have one main focus: to ensure all UoC Snow members get the best possible experieince from the society whilst ensuring each year is better than the last.
An annual AGM is held, usually in March of each year, to vote for committee positions in the next year. All UoC Snow members are encouraged to attend this AGM as it often has a large impact on the quality of the society over the following years, so make sure you have your say! The bio's of the current committee members can be found below.
This year we have two new committee members, a Race Captain and a Freestyle Captain. These editions to the team are sure to help grow the society, in such a way that we expect to draw in more experienced skiers and boarders for our competitive teams, in the not so distant future.
I’m not the greatest skier, but yet still so fond of the pow. I am very enthusiastic about the upcoming year and have a lot planned for the society, on the trip as well as other events here in Chester. Here’s to a sweet year. Stay Gnarly
What are you sayin'! Ive been skiing since I was 15 and am a lover of the pow! Ive been a part of UOC snow from the beginning of uni and I'm looking to taking the society to the next level. I was previously the comms officer for snowsports so know all the hard work that is needed to help run the society and will continue all this hard work into next year!! Peace out!!
I started skiing when I was 16 and my first trip was to Innsbruck in Austria with my school. Since then I have fallen in love with skiing. I went on the trip this year and it was the best decision of my university life!! I cannot wait for this years trip now and aim to try make it even better if that's possible!
Alright guys I'm Jord, one of your new social secs!! I learnt to ski around 13 and enjoyed it a lot but it was only after coming to university and joining snowsports that I realised I loved it. You get to know so many sound people and the nights out are always mad!! I'm looking forward to making it a boss year and hope your all going to enjoy it!
Y'alright guys. I'm Aaron and one of your social sec's for this year. Been skiing since i can't even remember and i hope to never stop! You could say snow is in my blood i am that passionate about it! Nights out are my thing! I don't need booze to have a good time (but it certainly helps). Hi I'm Kayleigh, I’ve been skiing since I was 4 and have skied many top resorts in Europe and North America. I love skiing and it’s my passion, as is UOC Snow. I'm the race captain for this year. I have competed in every competition UOC Snow has entered and I'm really looking forward to this year to do it all again.
Im Harry, a finance masters student so this seemed like the right role for me. I have been going on the trips and have been part of the society for the past 2 years now and have loved every minute of it! I look forward to being part of the committee next year and bringing some new ideas to the table.
